Mrs. Barbara Ann PORTER, 85, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Culver Hospital. She was admitted to the hospital following a fall on Tuesday, Dec 29. Born in Putnam County June 5, 1868, she was the daughter of Ludwick and Dorcus APPLE. She married Benjamin Porter Oct 3, 1889, in Boone County. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Whitesville Christian Church. Surviving include 3 daughters; Mrs. Harden TINCHER of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Fred MEALS of Indianapolis and Miss Mable Porter of Columbus, Ohio and two brothers, Guy Porter of Marshall and Donald of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband by a daughter. Funeral was conducted at Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home at 2:00 o'clock p.m. Wednesday by Rev. Paul Million, pastor of the First Christian Church. Burial at Waveland. - kbz
